The Affenpinscher, also known as the "monkey terrier," is one of the oldest breeds. Its ancestors appear in the 16th-century engravings of Albrecht Dürer. Officially documented as early as 1879, this breed became ultra-popular in the early 20th century. Alert, courageous, and ultra-loyal, the Affenpinscher is an adorable family dog. But be careful, he has his little personality! A firm yet gentle education is essential to channel his enthusiasm and stubborn side. Well socialized from a young age, he generally gets along well with other animals..  

When it comes to the weather, he handles the cold and humidity quite well, but forget about extreme climates! It's also important to monitor his health, as certain conditions like patellar dislocation or Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease can affect him..
